MS Reinforced Bar (TMT / Rebar)

✓ In stock across regional warehouses

Thermo-Mechanically Treated (TMT) Rebar is a high-strength deformed reinforcement bar produced by hot rolling billets through continuous stands, followed by inline rapid water quenching (Tempcore or Thermax process), self-tempering, and atmospheric cooling. This process creates a dual microstructure: a hard tempered martensite outer ring for tensile strength and a ductile ferrite-pearlite inner core for elongation and seismic energy dissipation. Conforming to IS 1786 in grades Fe 500, Fe 500D, Fe 550D, and Fe 600, with continuous surface ribbing for concrete bonding, diameters from 8 mm to 40 mm, and standard 12-meter straight or bent lengths. Primary makes include Tata Tiscon, JSW Neosteel, Jindal Panther, SAIL TMT, and Vizag Steel.
