Mild Steel (MS) Wire Rod is a hot-rolled long steel intermediate product rolled from billets in continuous, high-speed multi-stand rolling mills and coiled into loose ring packs via laying heads. It offers a circular cross-section with high ductility, uniform tensile strength, and cold drawability. Conforming to IS 7887, IS 2062, and SAE 1006, 1008, 1010, and 1018, it is available in diameters from 5.5 mm to 16 mm, delivered in 1.2 to 2.5 metric ton compacted coils with descaled or pickled surfaces.
