It exhibits exceptional strength, ductility, and formability, serving as a primary structural raw material across heavy industries. Standard structural and forming grades include IS 2062 (E250A, E250BR, E350, E450), with typical thicknesses ranging from 1.6 mm to 25.0 mm and widths up to 2,000 mm in mill-edge or sheared-edge conditions. Primary mill makes include AM/NS India, NMDC, Tata Steel, JSW Steel, SAIL, and Jindal Steel & Power.
