Cold Rolled Non Grain-Oriented (CRNO) Electrical Steel is a specialized silicon-alloyed iron sheet product processed via cold rolling, continuous decarburization, and strand annealing to achieve an isotropic crystal structure. This non-directional orientation delivers uniform magnetic permeability and low core losses regardless of flux direction. Available in standard grades such as M45 (50C450), M47 (50C470), 35C300, and 65C600 conforming to IS 648 and IEC 60404-8-4, in gauges from 0.35 mm to 0.65 mm and widths up to 1,250 mm, coated with C-3 or C-6 organic/inorganic insulation varnish. Key manufacturers include SAIL, JSW Steel, POSCO, and Baosteel.
