Galvannealed Coil

✓ In stock across regional warehouses

Galvannealed Coil (GA Coil) is produced by passing a hot-dip zinc-coated steel strip directly into an inline induction or gas-fired annealing furnace (~500–550°C), causing iron from the steel base to diffuse into the zinc coating. This creates an integrated iron-zinc alloy coating (~9–12% Fe) with a matte grey finish that is spangle-free, harder than pure zinc, and optimal for spot welding and paint adhesion without primer etching. Available in grades IS 277 / IS 513 equivalents, ASTM A653 (ZF coating), and JAC270–590, with coating masses from 60 GSM to 180 GSM, and thicknesses from 0.40 mm to 2.5 mm. Primary mills include JSW Steel, Tata Steel, POSCO, and AM/NS India.
