Shredded Steel Scrap

✓ In stock across regional warehouses

Shredded Scrap (ISRI 211) consists of homogeneous, fragmented pieces of carbon steel scrap produced by running end-of-life automobile bodies, appliances, light demolition scrap, and discarded sheet steel through heavy-duty industrial hammermills. The shredded material passes through magnetic separators, air-cyclone classifiers, and flotation systems to strip out rubber, glass, plastics, and non-ferrous contaminants, delivering clean, dense steel fragments. Technical specifications maintain a high bulk density (≥ 1.12 metric tons/m³ or 70 lbs/ft³), metallic iron (Fe) purity above 92%, and piece dimensions typically ranging between 50 mm and 200 mm.
